Jewellery Care

Natura Jewellery is made from sterling silver with bronze and brass natural elements. Gold and natural coloured gemstones. 

Silver, Bronze and Brass:

have been selected for their natural patina and oxidising qualities. These are perfect for representing natural elements and add a richness and depth to your piece. If you would like your piece of jewellery to maintain a bright and polished finish you can:

1. Clean your jewellery with a jewellery polishing cloth containing an anti tarnish agent

2. Send your piece back to us. We are happy to give your jewellery a complimentary clean and polish, you simply pay for postage.

Silver with gold plating:

Over time 18 carat yellow and rose gold plating featured on some of our items may wear off. We are happy to re plate your jewellery for you for a small charge please contact sarah@naturajewellery.com.au to organise a quote. 

Coloured gemstone jewellery:

Some of our items feature natural coloured gemstones. These are delicate by nature. To best care for them:

1. avoid wearing items containing coloured gemstones in water, particularly chlorinated water.

2. when you're not wearing your pieces keep them safely in your gift box or another protected place.

3. gently wipe them clean with a soft cloth only. 

Gold jewellery:

Over time gold jewellery can become dull. To bring gold jewellery back to a bright polished finish:

1. Clean your jewellery with a jewellery polishing cloth.

2. Send your piece back to us. We are happy to give your jewellery a complimentary clean and polish, you simply pay for postage.

Beaded Jewellery:

Some items of natura jewellery feature natural coloured gemstone beads. All of these pieces have been hand strung on silk which is very durable. These items will need care and maintenance however. To best care for your strung piece of jewellery:

1. don't wear beaded pieces of jewellery in water (particularly chlorine) as this can wear away at natural fibres and damage coloured gemstones.

2. when you are not wearing your piece store it in your gift box or a dry and protected place.

3. your item will need to be re-strung. When will depend on how frequently you wear your piece. Constant wear may constitute re stringing once a year. If you would like us to re string your piece for you contact sarah@naturajewellery.com.au and we will happily oragnise this. A minimal charge and any postage fees will need to be paid by you.
